Why I Reject Christianity
Four Good Reasons
Unlike the emotional rejection of my youth, I reject Christianity (not Christians) out of deep spiritual conviction. and with love.
Because there is good there. Great good. So I don’t want to throw out the baby with the bath water. Many people have had their lives and spiritual outlook uplifted immeasurably by that belief system.
In particular, many who regarded themselves as “sinners”, and therefore irredeemable, were enabled to forgive themselves and begin a new life.
That is all to the good. But Christainity also encompasses misguided beliefs that have produced untold harm and suffering. Here, I attempt to separate the wheat from the chaff.
What I say here, I say not because I want to hurt people. On the contrary, my goal is to help people create their own personal connection to the infinite flow of life, love, wisdom — the infinite flow of energy — that pervades the universe.
The fact is that after nearly 75 years of living (and some 35 spent seeking), I have managed to find that connection, breathe it in, and let it infuse my life. To help others forge their own connection, I teach the energy-flow yoga and meditation practices that got me there.
